About the Speaker:
Marvie Ellis, M.S., CCC-SLP received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi and her Master of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has specialized training in working with the birth to five population, children with autism spectrum disorders, speech-language delays, oral-motor therapy, play based therapy, sensory therapy, and behavior modification techniques. She is the award winning author of two autism children’s illustrated books, Keisha’s Doors: An Autism Story and Tacos Anyone? An Autism Story, and has recently released two other special needs children’s books, Busy Bees: A Sensory Defensiveness Story and Sitting On Letters: A Story About Low Muscle Tone published through Speech Kids Texas Press, Inc. Marvie is a popular national speaker and respected consultant for parents, educators, and healthcare professionals.
